There is a position available for a Director of Development in our Miami office. Responsible for creating, implementing and directing a successful campaign, with sustained growth. Particular emphasis on corporate dinners, personal solicitations, major gifts, events, planned giving, foundation grants, endowment support and campaign public relations. Candidate is required to work closely and cooperatively with chapter’s area director, staff regional development committees, and interact effectively with board members to identify and solicit potential honorees, recruit volunteer leadership and develop pro-active campaign strategies. Qualifications include a minimum of five years' fundraising experience, preferably with a strong background in plate dinners. Candidate must be a self starter with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure. Candidate must have a clear understanding of the work and mission of the American Jewish Committee and the ability to communicate it.
