Airlines Soaring Scholars Program

Southwest Airlines, The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and Latina
Magazine have joined forces to provide college-bound students, their
parents, and the Latino community information on resources that will
help them when planning for a higher education. The Southwest Airlines
Soaring Scholars Program's goal is to get relevant education information
into the hands of young Latinos.
As part of this program, the September issue of Latina Magazine’s online newsletter has provided information on the state of higher education in the Latino community. Additionally, the magazine has included a list of steps that will help young Latinos create a high school plan today that will help them earn a college degree tomorrow. Latina Magazine also created the Tour Your College of Choice Contest. The contest was established to make it possible for students to visit colleges that interest them.
