Are you an emerging leader with a disability? If so, the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is looking for you. The AAPD will give up to five awards of $10,000 awards to people with disabilities who can demonstrate they are emerging leaders in their fields or community.

Winners will be selected who: a) show leadership achievements having a positive impact on the disability community or in an area of disability interest; b) have made connections between disabled individuals and other in a particular community; c) have a positive vision for the disability community; d) have a continuing commitment to their leadership activities; and e) have the potential to contribute on a national level.

U.S. residents with any type of disability are invited to apply. You can nominate yourself or another disabled person. Applications are due November 1. For guidelines, see the AAPD website: www.aapd.com
