Proyecto Visión Launched 
Disabled Latinos, members of the fastest growing U.S. population, face higher rates of unemployment and often have less education and, therefore fewer opportunities than other disabled Americans and non-disabled Latinos.

Mexican Disability Advocate at Center of UN Negotiations 
In November 2001 Maria Eugenia Antunes, a young disability advocate from Mexico City, found herself in the middle of high level United Nations negotiations.

New America Alliance: an American Latino Business Initiative 
The New America Alliance, founded in December 1999, is made up of more than 80 Hispanic entrepreneurs, top-level executives, board members of Fortune 1000 companies and senior executives of non-profit organizations.

Texas Foundation to Assist Hispanic Youth 
The Long Foundation has announced a $10 million program to assist Hispanic youth in Texas, where they represent 36% of that state's student population.

Scholarship Program Welcomes Applications from Minority & Disabled Students 
USA Funds has announced it is reserving up to 50% of its college scholarship awards for applicants with physical disabilities or who are members of an ethnic minority group.

March 31 is the Application Deadline for 2002 Youth in Action Awards
Nominations are now being accepted for the $1000 Youth in Action Awards given by the Foundation of America.
